Saudi Arabia's ambitious Qiddiya project has officially opened its doors to the public, marking another major milestone in the Kingdom's Vision 2030 transformation. The first phase of this SAR 50 billion mega-project features world-class attractions that position Saudi Arabia as a global entertainment destination.
Headline Attractions
The centerpiece is the Falcon's Flight roller coaster, certified as the world's fastest at 250 km/h. The Six Flags Qiddiya theme park spans 32 hectares and features 28 rides and attractions. The Aquarabia water park offers 60+ water slides and a wave pool the size of four football fields.
Beyond Theme Parks
Qiddiya is more than just rides. The development includes:
- A Jack Nicklaus-designed championship golf course
- A motorsport circuit designed to host Formula 1
- A performing arts theater seating 20,000
- Adventure sports including skydiving, bungee jumping, and rock climbing
- Residential communities for 35,000 residents
Economic Impact
Qiddiya is expected to create 25,000 permanent jobs and attract 17 million visitors annually by 2030. The project represents the largest entertainment development in the Middle East and a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia's economic diversification strategy.
