Das UNESCO-Welterbekomitee hat die antike archäologische Stätte Dadan in AlUla offiziell in seine prestigeträchtige Welterbeliste aufgenommen. Die Stätte aus dem 8. Jahrhundert v. Chr. war einst die Hauptstadt der dadanitischen und lihyanitischen Königreiche und ist eine der bedeutendsten archäologischen Entdeckungen auf der Arabischen Halbinsel.
